If Buffalo wants Kakko

Created by: aspina25

Description
No one is saying that Kakko alone isn’t tradable for Eichel, but having him in a huge package with other valuable prospects is laughable. If they want quality, they aren’t getting quantity too.

So you're saying the difference between Kaako and Eichel is Chytil?

I’m saying there is not a team out there that will offer a better young asset than Kakko. If Buffalo wants the best player possible back, they’re not getting much else. If they want a dozen pieces that add up to his potential, so be it, there’s 20 teams that can give them that.

But here’s the thing, Buffalo doesn’t want Kakko. The ask is LaFreniere. If you won’t part with him you’re not getting Jack Eichel. If the trade doesn’t hurt it doesn’t work. The ask is whoever your best prospect is pretty much from any team who is calling about Jack Eichel. If you won’t give him up the conversation is over.

Not a chance BUF takes that.

I mean Eichel's points wise best season, 82 points, is only 29 points behind Kakko's and Chytil's career totals combined. Which include 5 seasons.

Both of them have potential, but at their best they've been a quarter of what Eichel currently is. And he's only 24 too.

NYR is going to add a lot to this.

The Wild could offer Rossi++, the Kings could offer Turcotte+_, and the list goes on. And you could argue that those players have similar value/potential to Kaako. But what you are showing in this offer is that the difference between Kaako and Eichel is Chytil which is completely false

Eichel had more points than Kakko playing on a fractured ribs, a Sprained ankle and an stomach injury before hurting his neck.

There is one BIG difference between Kakko (and Chytil) and Eichel.....neither one of them needs spinal surgery like Eichel does. Until proven healthy, Eichel is damaged goods and Buffalo can keep him and the $50,000,000 left on his contract. Rangers will be just fine without him.

I wouldn't trade Laffy's jock for Eichel............keep him Buffalo or trade him to some other sucker team.

You’re insane if you think both of those guys combined has half the pedigree of Kakko. Are the devils offering Hughes?

Why would they care about pedigree? Kakko hasn't produced. Those guys have.

They’re playing 3-4 more minutes per game. Kakko is producing at a better rate than Zacha was at his age and Chytil blows both out of the water

EV TOI/gp
Kakko 13:02
Zacha 13:09
Sharangovich 14:01

Biggest difference is that Zacha and Sharangovich get regular PK shifts.

After Draft +2 season...
Chytil: 0.31 pts/g
Kakko: 0.35 pts/g
Zacha 0.37 pts/g

Zacha’s D+2 season was 0.34 pt/game. Also I said age and not draft year. Chytil is days away from the draft year cutoff, so his D+3 age is closer to most’s D+2 age.

Even strength pts/60:
Chytil: 2.53
Kakko: 1.35
Zacha: 2.21

Corsi percentiles:
Chytil: 52
Kakko: 85
Zacha: 45
