Buffalo wants Marco Rossi in that Eichel trade or doesn’t happen. I don’t know enough about Beckman or Khovanov, And I’ve never heard of Hunter Jones. I don’t know if Kevyn Adams would like this deal.

You're not getting Rossi. Not with Eichel's injury concerns. Boldy is a distinct possibility though.

Beckman is a B-level prospect and was the Wild's 3rd round selection in 2019. He projects to be a middle six winger in the NHL. But is intriguing because he lead the WHL in scoring during the 2019-2020 season for the Spokane Chiefs with 48 goals 59 assists for 107 points in 63 games. So there might be more there than originally projected.

I'd still swap him out for Boldy, as he isn't a good enough prospect.

Khovanov is another third round B-level prospect taken in 2018 but has top-six center or winger potential and upside. He's currently our fifth best prospect in our system and third best center prospect overal. Was second in scoring in the QMJHL in 2019-2020 behind only Lafreniere playing for the Moncton Wildcats and had 32 goals 67 assists for 99 points in 51 games.

Khovanov is more or less a toss up with Khusnutdinov who is our second best center prospect due to the fact he's closer to being NHL ready and the better goal scorer and playmaker of the two. Khusnutdinov has Mackinnon level speed and the higher ceiling between them.

The offer above is too low in my opinion but it's not too far off with some of the pieces involved. As far as prospects are concerned Boldy and Khovanov packaged together would be a good start for any deal for Eichel.

Rossi should be solidly on the table for Eichel. Even if he hit his absolute ceiling he wouldn't be as good as Eichel is now. Eichel has the term to justify giving up their top center prospect. With Kaprizov, Fiala, and the expensive and aging Suter/Spurgeon in the d-corps MN should be moving to win now mode, not waiting a couple of years until Rossi figures out the NHL game.

I'm not sure BUF would want Rossi over a couple of other MN prospects with his injury concerns.

It would have to be Boldy. Then you might even be a piece heavy on the offer depending on competing offers. Either way, a solid effort that gets you in the conversation.

I can promise you there is no scenario where your top prospect is off the table for eichel.
It would likely take Rossi AND Boldy

Almost zero chance that happens.

We don't really have any incentive to pay good assets for Rask. He's been slightly better with Kaprizov, but we don't have a Kaprizov.

It's a 4th round pick for a $2m bottom-6 rental. It's more of a lottery ticket for a bandaide type of deal.

MN shouldn't make this trade or the TJ trade. Just keep Rask for the year and then use that cap space for something useful next offseason.
