I don’t see Carolina trading away bean. He is projected to be the next jaccob Slavin. Wouldn’t want that to go away

Hawks are taking all the risk here IMO giving up proven assets for unproven players. Bean is the only proven asset Hawks are getting back and better be the next Ducan Keith to make this trade make sense. Suzuki didn't look great in the AHL. Nolan looks worse then Strome in his first 3 seasons and the 13th OA pick in a very weak draft isn't that interesting.

Conversely, Murphy is a proven top 3 defensivemen on a great contract (top liner with the right partner), Kubalik can pot 30 goals a year, Kalynuk is looking like the Hawks best LHD defensive prospect and looked very mature in his first season, and Strome statistically has shown he can put up 50+ points in the NHL (something Nolan hasn't shown yet).
