I definitely overpaid for ufa but the reason was picking specific vets to come in to try and change the culture and stastny and cole have always seemed like solid guys to me. Reimer gives a solid duo. It’s why they were short term.

York = Samuelsson, the Sabres have Dahlin Samuelsson and Bryson for the future of the left side, even if they get rid of Bryson, they can find a bottom pair dman in free agency and they have Johnson as a prospect, not to mention if they feel obligated to take Power. The rest of the trade isnt close
