Laine isn't signing that cheaply, His qualifying offer is 1 x $7,500,000 even on a 3 year deal he's not taking $1,800,000 less then his qualifying offer.

Agree with the above that Laine's contract is too cheap. Especially if they want to retain him through a few years of being in the cellar while they stock up

I also think if they can get rid of Jones and Korpisalo for younger cheaper assets they will. They want better C's

Korpisalo, yes, but Jones isn't going to be traded all that easily. It's not a "best offer we can get" situation.
