You’re not sure the value of burns? Ya don’t say. It’s negative. It’s not a first, a roster player, and a good prospect. Cmon that’s craziness. Without retention no ones taking burns.

Hertl has one 50 point season. Seven sub 50 point seasons. Good player. A first, second, third, and chytil? Also craziness.

A kinda belated Welcome to CapFriendly, 'cause I see that although you joined in August, this is your first effort.

I think that you overestimate the value of your three key players. In particular, I don't think that Boston is going to pay a first and an A goalie prospect for Burns, whose contract is a huge turn-off, and I can't see Hertl, even with an extension, getting more than Chytil, a first and maybe the third. (But it will be interesting to see how others respond to this construction. I might be in the minority.)

Good luck and keep posting!

I can’t see hertl getting chytil. Hertl is a late first rounder kinda guy.

Burns isnt a bad player but you are severely overrating his trade value. They might consider something like that for Couts instead though

Thought Burns would be the most controversial on here for sure. The first was probably a reach but after DeBrusk puts up just 14 points, I don't think his value is particularly high either.

Pretending the last two seasons haven't been shortened, that's ridiculous. He's averaged 0.87 p/gp over the last 3 years, thats 72 points in an 82 game season. Not to mention he is elite defensively and at faceoffs.

Thanks for the welcome, like you said this is my first real post. Mostly wanted to gauge public opinion on the 3 players mentioned so I can try a more complete and accurate one in the future. Thanks for the feedback everyone

Not to mention, bruins are kinda set at RD. Is burns going to be an 8 million dollar third pair d man? Don’t see it.

Agreed on Hertyl... be a fair deal for Chytil straight up.
Cap space alone is needed most in SJ.

Burns is one of the worst contracts in the league. Sharks would have to either pay big for other teams to take him or retain half his salary and still not get much of a return.
Don't think hertl gets that type of return either. But that one's not as bad as the burns one

Okay, you can take Karlsson, Vlasic, and Jones, then that's fair.

keep pretending Chytil is worth anything close to Hertl, you need to add your 2021 1st at least.

I’m not sure how Hertl with a contract extension doesn’t get Chytil and a 1st to be honest.

Not sure what youre missing, Chytil is of faaaar more value to Sharks at this point. They have no cap room too even keep LD Ferraro....
There is still more fat to cut from this roster.
Be fortunate to land a 21 yr old C, whos been playing in league for 2 years.
Its not about past 2 years, its about the next 2+ and over thst time Chytil>Hertyl if he stays in San Jose.

I can't take you seriously if you actually think Sharks should just give you their best player for a much lesser asset just because.

You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

Seems a bit much for Hertl considering the guy is going into the final year of his contract and holds all the cards. No team will trade for him without getting his confirmation that he will resign with them.

That Boston deal….woof. Putting value aside, and it’s bad, Boston has no interest in Burns and can’t take that contract.

Hi Goffnut, let me disagree on Burns. The Bruins should be interested. He'd be brilliant to watch on the right wing with Krejci, ha? Heart Eyes

Hi again, in the previous post I was just implying (with irony, sarcasm) Burns could be a good trade piece for the Bruins if he plays a forward, right wing. He used to play this spot few years back in San Jose before returning to defense.

Comprehension: B. B. could be an asset for Boston only if he plays RW, not D.
