I have a challenge for everyone on this thread:
You must name the 5 most clutch/greatest playoff games of all-time from your favorite team in the last 10 years.
And you must name the 5 most heartbreaking/disappointing playoff games of all-time from your favorite team in the last 10 years.
For me as a Canes fan it's:
Clutch:
2019 First Round Game 7 Double OT win
2021 First Round Game 6 OT win
2021 First Round Game 5 OT win
2019 Second Round Games 3&4 wins
2020 Qualifiers Game 3 win
Heartbreaking/Disappointing:
2020 First Round Game 4 loss
2019 Conference Finals Game 4 loss
2020 First Round Game 5 loss
2019 Conference Finals Game 3 loss
2021 First Round Games 3&4 2OT losses
Clutch:
2019 Game 7 Vegas
- Oh I'll take the complaint of 4 PP goals on a tough call buuuuuuuuuuuuut 9.9/10 they call that call as it was such a odd/ unlucky play it woulda happened to any team anywhere eventually and caused a good rule.
And 4 PP goals can't be excused by a call. That was a magical come back even though it was due to a call. Definitely the best 10 minutes of hockey I've seen. I could feel the electricity and I'm literally in a different country than SJS. You gotta admit when Couture yells "THATS 1..THATS 1!" - it was like a movie.
PLUS A HUGE OT WINNER by Goody - the game had it all OT, flair and dramatics, huge comebacks (SJS 4, VGK ties it with little time left) and lots of goals and saves.
2016 Run - Just Martin Jones
Martin Jones literally carries, no drags the Sharks to the finals. But now he drags us to high picks
I got a 2016 Finals puck though soo thanks Marty I guess.
The rest were fun but and some other conference finals appearances but those standout. There's some other great runs but those standout.
Heartbreaking:
2016 Finals Pens - I LITERALLY have not watched the final 10 seconds, cup celly, anything. After the score read 10 seconds and I knew it was over I just turned off the TV and sat in the dark at like 1am (SJ was the home team), for a few just disappointed. Never seen Crosby lift that cup or any celebration.
2019 STL Blues WCF
2014 = "The San Jose Sharks became the fourth team in Stanley Cup playoff history to lose a series after holding a 3–0 lead; as the Los Angeles Kings came back to win the series in game seven of the First Round on April 30, 2014"
