So is PK Subban even classified as an NHL player anymore? The dude has his own youtube channel, podcast, and is now joining ESPN as an analyst for the offseason. He's getting paid 9 mil, so it can't be for money. I just find it kind of funny that he is doing all this stuff while still an NHL player.

Subban is a great social media influencer and marketing player. Subban gets too much hate, but he is a great person on and off the ice.

He's done once his contract is up if not sooner. The man has a personality and will be much better suited for an analyst position than trying to stretch his career for a cup on a broken back.

Yeah, I actually love what he's doing on social media. Once he retires, I'm expecting big things from him in the hockey community.

Subban gets way too much hate for no reason. He's still a solid NHL Defensemen. Obviously, he isn't former self and isn't worth $9 million, but he is still a useful defenseman for any team. Once his contract is done, he'll sign a contract for around 2-3 million on a contending team. I don't see his career will be ending soon

It’s only for the offseason so he’ll still play next year but as soon as he retires, with his great personality and just being PK, hell definitely get a job in the hockey biz

Isn't his back messed up? I know that he'd probably prefer to play on beyond this contract but I thought one of the major factors of his decline was lingering issues from a back injury in last year in Nashville.

It always gets ugly when a Boston sports team loses in the playoffs lol. With this reffing situation, I expect twice the normal effect.

I don't believe so. Hes been healthy in NJ. He also spends a ton of money on recovery and his body so I think he can play for longer. I haven't heard anything about his back problems

After his contract’s up I’d love to see him on a short deal with the Leafs for 3-3.5 million
