I think it should be the 20 man roster you ice can’t be over a certain threshold since calculating cap during playoffs would be plain annoying

Edit: and rosters are about 30 players during playoffs

100% leagues should begin implementing tax adjusted cap for each team. teams with more tax get a higher cap, teams with no tax get a lower cap. fixes the disparity issues between tax free states and highly taxed areas.

Yeah - like while I personally am not at all near being a Canes fan, their on ice "celly" and personal flair they started showing is good for the game, not just for growing but to help let guys have fun.
We know the fans loved it (and loved the hate), and the players got to let loose. I want more personality to show because the only good interviews or highlights come few times in the season and the rest come in the offseason and SCF/ after the cup win.

Now we know the first meeting next year between the Habs and Tampa is gonna have fireworks.

Many teams were over the salary cap in the playoffs and a bigger roster would be needed in the playoffs which would cause teams to be over the cap. But having a 5M limit would prevent the Tampa loophole from happening

Sadly last season, though, the storm surge wasn't as "fun". Every time they just put their sticks up and honored the healthcare workers. Don't get me wrong, it was great to see their appreciation for the healthcare workers hard work with the pandemic and all, but it just wasn't the same energy. But yeah, the storm surge does bring more energy to the game and interacts with the fans more.

Just do salary based out of Florida (or somewhere else with 0% tax). It's not that difficult.

There’s always more fun with villains/ figures of that nature in sports - I’m fine with villains lol. That’s really my point. I’d rather have some flair than Kucherov talking about dump and chase and both teams being good.

Let Kuch be a villain - atleast he backs it up as one of the best players in the world. It’s better than Reaves being a villain. Not even cause he’s on Vegas. But the guys a literal 4th liner.

From my personal perspective, here is how I would rate the teams the Lightning faced in the playoffs:

T1) Islanders
T1) Florida
T3) Montreal
T3) Carolina

Florida was a really fun series. Makes you wish it was deeper in the run (as usual)

The Isles were a fitting conference final tho, they were great (maybe next time they won’t play Komerov 😬😉)

I can't even take this as an insult because Toronto was better than a SC Favorite (Vegas)

It was from after the 2011 ECF to getting swept by Montreal in 2014. I should add these tickets were acquired via the "Student Rush" promotion. Those tickets gradually went from lower bowl to upper bowl to the nose bleeds to standing room only as sellouts became the norm.

The 2011 season was kind of a surprise. It was still rough times until the Triplets came along. Marty was still there most of it.

The Islanders are a tough bunch. However, Florida was the only team that truly had me wondering if we were going to prevail. Huberdeau and Barkov were the best individual players I'd say we faced this run. Florida as a whole felt like they were the only team that could almost score at will against Vasy anywhere on the ice.
