Lets see how this season ends up before just bringing the same team back.

Do you think there’s any universe where Clifton plays over lauzon?

Also, Frederic hasn’t earned that deal yet, but you’ll need that money for Reilly.

Reilly's getting closer to 4M. Does Boston need to bring back Miller? Not sure Krejci takes a discount to play 2C in Boston as opposed to 1C in Columbus or Detroit. He's got the defensive presence and playmaking to let Laine or Domi coast back to respectability, but he's got a common language with Vrana, Zadina, Panik, and Hronek. That leaves lots of cap room in Boston for Hall if they don't spend it on an RNH or Danault. I think Danault is the better fit in terms of the Bruins' defensive identity, but there will be a lot of teams interested, so bidding could get ridiculous. Might mean letting Hall walk and letting Rask test the market.

Id kill to get krecji in detroit, with a bunch of young Czech players he'd be great in the room too. Plus gives us 2 actual centers. If only

Just have to outbid the Jackets. As a Caps fan I'd be happy to see Krejci leave the East, either way, but as a MacLellan fan I'd hate to see him on Detroit's five man Czech unit, putting Vrana's numbers through the roof. I wouldn't hate it enough not to want to see the Caps trade Kempny for a 7th and cap space to sign Ovechkin, though.

Reilly has done nicely for Boston but really is a 3rd pair LD for a cup contending team. If it is going to take 3-4M Boston should let him walk and plug in younger players Zboril, Urho Vaak at 3LD for under 1M. Can't see Krecji wanting to leave Boston and they have cap room to make him want to stay.

I'm not even looking at advanced stats. Reilly tied for 29th in points by a defenseman this year with Keith Yandle, Jake Muzzin, Justin Schultz, and Miro Heiskanen. He had the fewest goals of that group, so he loses the tiebreaker and he's the 33rd highest scoring NHL defenseman of 2020-21. He's not getting Yandle money because Yandle is slightly overpaid. Muzzin and Schultz make around $4M, and that's what someone will pay Reilly. I've seen Krejci pencilled in on EDM, CBJ, and DET posts. He's had a great career in Boston and I agree he could be very happy ending it there. But there's a chance some team overpays him short term to try to make a splash. Could Boston move Coyle up to 2C, Lazar to 3C, and hold auditions in camp for 4C? Sure. They could still make the playoffs doing that. So they don't necessarily have to match offers on Krejci. But a plan to re-sign all of a playoff team's UFAs is usually not workable. The team did well, so guys earned raises, but they're already at the salary cap. Someone is going somewhere else, and someone else will step up to take their place. It will be alright.

Boston has about 30M in cap space heading into off season. Look it up if you wish. Hall, Krecji and Rask WILL NOT be getting raises. Combination of flat cap, age and desire to play in Boston. Ritchie and Carlo WILL be getting raises. Like you said, someone is going somewhere else and that will be Reilly if he wants 3.5-4M and someone else will step up to take his place, like you said, and that will be Zboril, Urho Vaak. Like you said, it will be alright.
