    Sabres probably accept. Solid return on a guy who's gone anyway even with lottery protection. Not sure it makes sense for Calgary though without an extension pretty much guaranteed. Are they in a position to pay that much for a rental? I'd say no.

    I don't think it makes sense for the Flames to give up futures, they just aren't good enough.

    I don't think they would have trouble signing Reinhart though. I think the player could have interest in following in the footsteps of his dad and brother as a Flame.

    His Dad was a big part of the Flames in the 80's, he just missed the Cup winning team by a season and his brother Max was drafted by the Flames and got a cup of coffee in the league with the team.

    Back in 2014 there was a lot of hope he would fall to the Flames at 4th and he even admitted he hoped that would happen. Things change, but there could be interest and the Flames should be interested if he ver hits UFA after 2022. I just wouldn't be giving up high picks right now as I don't believe this core is worth it
