Although I think that’s fair, I’ve been hearing that the Rangers are only open to trading one of Kakko, Lundkvist, and Schneider.

Which likely means they don’t get Jack Eichel.

They're putting Kakko in the same bracket as Lundkvist and Schneider? Weird to hear

I don't think that's the case, they just refuse to move more than 1 of them

I think that bracket you reference is on the lines of “chance to be a star” as opposed to “likely star” and Kakko’s past two seasons have probably put him there by now

I read it as we'll only move one of these players, and grouping them together makes it seem like they're valued simarly at least imo.

Fair, I thought past reports said that they wouldn't even move Kakko for him

Turcotte, the eighth or ninth overall pick in this draft and Clague is the most we should pay. And that Las Vegas trade is an even worse overpay.

What is it about "the equivalent of four first-round picks" that people can't understand? It's bad enough to equate Cody Glass (or Alex Turcotte, or LA's 2021 pick) as the equivalent of one first, but evaluating Alex Tuch as such is just . . . uninformed.

4 firsts as the starters, price rises with other teams offering more. Clague is definitely not worth a 1st, and is more of just an additive value. Literally said bottom 2 were just for fun in the description, no thought put into them and aren't meant to be serious.

hawks only do it if Toews retires, but the value there might be a bit rich for them to bite on that. Maybe drop one first. Dach+Mitchell+12th OA is plenty fair imo

So you think that either Turcotte or the eighth overall pick should be considered as the equivalent of one first-round draft pick?!?!? Which would you rather have, Alex Turcotte, or Max Jones and Sam Steel?

Where'd you get Max Jones and Sam Steel from lmao, there's a player of Turcotte's value in every deal, the sabres are going to look for an elite piece, and I personally believe a team will be willing to give it up. Interpret the rumor how you want, I believe they want 4 first round + caliber players, 1 being a main frame for the deal.

Well, if you knew a little bit more about hockey (lol), you'd know (lol) that they were first-round picks (lmao). In case I'm being too subtle(lol), the idea that all first-round picks are the same is moronic, especially when they're expressed in actual players. Do YOU think Sam Reinhart and Filip Johansson have the same first-round pick value?

(lol), idk why you're so upset lmao but yes obviously they're first round picks, and no obviously not. I understand the term first round value. What I'm saying is, that they want 4 ATLEAST first round value players, that doens't mean that they're going to go flip a deal with Columbus for their 3 first round picks in 2021 and 1 good player. Sabres are going to be looking for a main young piece in a deal, that being Turcotte, Rossi, or Kakko in my opinion, I think it takes one of them to get the deal done, especially as teams start to outbit each other. Maybe you didn't read the word caliber, but that does not mean "players drafted in the first round", it means players of a first round value caliber, and 1 piece of that 4 being a main frame for the trade. Never said anything about "all first rounders are the same", I compared Rossi to Kakko to Turcotte. You say "Turcotte Clague and our first is the most we should pay", but were fine with trading 2021 first, Byfield, Anderson Dolan, Clague, Wagner, and a 3rd? Unless you believe Turcotte > Byfield, Anderson Dolan, Wagner, and a 3rd but.

Hawks would look at that. I'm not sure they'd give up back to back 1st rounders though.

I could see VGK going for Eichel if they get bounced early from the Playoffs. Their lack of centers is as glaring as MN's lack of centers.
