Stephensons and Krebs are interesting, but the rest of the deal is pretty meh. If Eichel went to Vegas, I'd except a bigger return

Krebs and Stephenson would be nice. Buffalo can take back smith too, he has no trade protection.

Agreed. I think it's more likely that you take the second away and replace Stephenson with Karlsson. Then the C lineup would be Cozens-Karlsson-Mittelstadt next year (maybe switching the last 2). I think it's nuts not to start Cozens as your 1C to give him that opportunity especially on a rebuilding team (a la Norris on the Sens)

They won't trade Karlsson and he would block the trade anyways

Dont want to rush Cozens, he still only 20, groom him for 1-2 years then see where hes at

Which is why Vegas makes zero sense. They signed their big guns in Stone and Pietrangelo...

Where’s Vegas going to find $7.5 million in cap space?

Jack Eichel doesn’t go to Vegas unless Alex Tuch is coming back to Buffalo. Buffalo has no interest in Smith, who coincidentally would have no interest in staying here. I would love Karlsson in this trade if you could convince him to waive his no trade clause to do it. I’m not sure that’s possible.

I see an Eichel to Vegas trade looking something like
a 1st, 2nd, Tuch, Krebs, Korzcak and something else from Vegas to make the cap fit and really that doesn't seem very good for Buffalo, someone could offer a better package then that for Eichel.
