I'm a Rangers fan but fully support Trouba being here. 6mil at the absolute max

I'd say for lots of players it's not necessarily the AAV of the contracts that makes them overpaid.... just the term. Price's term puts him there especially with his injury stretch.

Myers, Stralman, Ristolainen, Zaitsev should all be on the first team. They're replacement-level players and all make $4.5M+. Suter wouldn't on my first overpaid team, Faulk had a decent year and what is Letang doing here?

Goalies is easy, Bobrovsky and Price. Murray and Jones would follow.

I feel like Getzlaf getting 461 pts in 545 games, having 4 years with Hart trophy votes, 5 years of allstar and Selke votes, and having well above average possession stats throughout the length of his contract makes it well worth it. Unfortunate that the team fell off, but IMO, he absolutely met the value of his contract.
