Just under the cap for now, the following year several more contracts (Brown, Carter, Maata & McDermid) come off the books. D is young with a lot of room to grow. Big infusion of skill with Eichel and Hyman. And still got some rookies that could the lineup (Kupari or Kaliyev, maybe someone else from Ontario?).

If I'm LA I'm refusing any Eichel deal that includes Byfield. He's got massive upside, and Eichel's value is a little more damaged than it was a year ago. I think Turcotte, Kempe and a 1st is a good start but I would include ****emo and Björnfot

Im a Sabres fan and would love Byfield, but that deal is way too much for Eichel. Byfield plus a couple assets or Turcotte plus 2 or 3 assets.

If BUF can pull Turcotte, Kempe, a first, and a a descent prospect off, I'd be happy

Not its not. This guy gets it, you dont land a 24 year old franchise center by nickel and diming it. This might be the first realistic trade on Cap friendly involving Eichel.

Injured 24-year-old all-star who had his career-worst year, publically went against his franchise, and has failed to reach the playoffs for 5 years with him as their cornerstone. Not sure you can say his value is at it's peak right now.

It's been reported that GM KA is looking for the equivilant to 4 1st round picks for Eichel. It was also mentioned that he may not be asking for the #1 prospect from a team, but will be looking for the 2nd and 3rd ranked ones. Ex: Kings 1.) Byfield, 2.) Turcotte, 3.) Arthur K..... Turcotte and Arthur. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to obtain Byfield &Turoctte. But that's very unrealistic.

He's all yours then, giving up Byfield, Turcotte, Kempe and a 1st should get Blake fired, no team has the assets or cap space to even come close to offering a trade like that. If that's the asking price, the King's are better with what they have.

Not asking for their best prospect would be incredibly dumb, I highly doubt the validity of that. 24 year old Franchise Centre - Top ten NHL player. It will cost a team to ante up.

Byfield, Kaliyev and a 1st should be the trade for Eichel. It is not often players of his caliber are moved.

Oh i believe they will 100% try to get Byfield in a deal, there's no question in my mind. However, I still think the most likely scenario is Turcotte +++.

Turcotte would be the #1 prospect for most of the teams in the NHL, just because the Kings have two guys like Cozens doesn't mean the Kings have to give both of them up, especially considering Eichel hasn't exactly pumped up his value this past season.

Turcotte is fine, they dont need to ask for Byfield, Turcotte Kupari and F.agemo and a 22 1st is my going rate

I think the Kings are better off staying pat, they could potentially move Turcotte but Byfield is a non-starter. As far as fair value, I'm trying to think of what other teams are willing to part with a #1 center prospect, Rossi maybe? I think if it has to be Byfield, Blake needs to walk away.

Change Kupari and ****emo with active NHLers they need to move to make room for the young prospects and I agree. Any of: Athanasiou, Walker, Grundstrom, Luff, Wagner, MacDermid.

Not sure which way this LOL is leaning, but I do know that whatever you have to trade to get Eichel is going to hurt. I was trying to error on the side of overpaying.

Funny, no discussion re: Sergachev or Hyman signing...

I ran multiple ideas (e.g. swap out Vilardi for Byfield) but I couldn't see you'd get a #2 overall pick who was trending up before last season for less than #2 Byfield.
