Doubt the Islanders have any interest in that trade. The term on Trouba's contract is far worse than Ladd. Rangers are stuck with Trouba

Can't see any reason for the Islanders to do this. They're set for the future in regards to RHD (Pulock, Dobson, and Mayfield). And Trouba's contract is a rough one. Maybe if Detroit gets into contention in the next couple years trouba would waive for his hometown, but I doubt it

Ladd only has 2 years left, Trouba has 5 years left. Noway Lou makes that deal. Barzal and Pulock will still need big deals before Trouba is even off the books.

For it to even be a discussion it would have tobe Money in for Money out, in no way would the Islanders be on the hook taking on more cap in any trade talk.
and considering the length of Troubas contract that is remaining, Rangers would be the team having to take on more short term cap to offset the length

Chill fam it’s literally a hypothetical situation with everyone else trying to trade trouba. And if this trade was to HYPOTHETICALLY happen it’s not bad the rangers might even have to retain on trouba. You act like he’s worth the $8mil

RD is the isles biggest strength, they don’t need trouba.

Good hitter, average points produced for a dman making 8mil, can make some dumb plays defensively... also I watch ever game every year so...
