Buffalo would want back Marino, if they were to trade Reinhart to penguins.

I rather give up picks for Pettersson instead of Wood

I feel like Sabres fans might be forgetting that Reinhart is a UFA after next season. You're probably not getting back a solid top 4 dman that just signed an extension for him, but I could be wrong.

No we are well aware, Botterill being horrible is still haunting this team. They will still get a lot for Reinhart.

Oh for sure...I'm not saying they won't. But if we're evaluating Reinhart's value, I feel like there's a ton of comparable trades out there that definitely don't have a 23 year old top 4 dman with a bunch of term coming back.

Hes definitely a tough one to put value on. The bad- long story short, he aint sexy. The longer version is where it gets tricky- he has improved his offense every year (he finished the year on a 40 goal pace), he just went back to playing center- and produced as a number one center on an unfortunately awful team. I suspect theres a number of gms that would love to add him on the cheap, and he probably takes a one year deal for 6 or so because hes going to ufa next summer. So the question is just how much is a year of a very solid, extremely steady, unsexy, forward who could provide insurance up the middle- worth to a gm?

MTL habs are mad Drouin doesn’t play like a 3rd OA
But Drouin is producing, just not enough
Zucker was doing f**kall this year, so no MTL doesn’t do that

My bad I thought Zucker had 13 points, but my point still stand, we’ll keep Drouin if we could choose between Drouin or Zucker

Pettersson doesn’t do anything for Buffalo because they have more left-handed defenseman than they could use right now. What they need is to add a right side defender, because conventional wisdom says they will be pushing Seattle to take Colin Miller. With Ristolainen‘s future with the team uncertain it’s more important to add a right to defender in case he is traded and one does not come back in return.

My first thought was "Jeff Skinner had 40!", but he actually only had 25ish the year before. My mind is absolutely blank this afternoon as to who would be a similar move. Definitely a tough one to place a value on though. Probably get the most value out of it if you take a dump back, since it's the only way most contenders would be able to find a way to fit his potential future cap hit in.

I don’t think Devils would be all that interested in Kasper Bjorkqvist. He was a fine college player, but we will pass.
