Agreed. So many teams get caught thinking they're closer that they actually are, and then they give up Dougie Hamilton and Tyler Seguin for Phil Kessel grimace

Everyone of these trades are bad for buffalo. A cap dump with Hoglander for Reinhart?

Why are we retaining on risto, philly waived ghost last year, if anything they should be retaining.

And if we move eichel, out west, no way should we keep him in the east.

The Devils aren't giving up enough. Forgetting the 4th and 2nd as they aren't important beyond being window-dressing, Hughes at this point could be considered two of the four 1sts in the pricetag. You added another. So that's 3. Need another top tier prospect or a 1st.

No to the Reinhart deal not enough for Reinhart let alone the cap dump. Jokiharhu isnt ready for top pair.

That trade sets the Devils back more than it helps them. Hughes is on a deal that leaves him with more team control and that 1st has a good chance of getting them the number 1 defenseman that they need to have a solid top 4 in the future. Eichel to NJ doesn't make as much sense as many seem to think and will push them to accelerate/screw up the rebuild.

I would not include any trade for Hoglander. He was just voted teams most exciting player. We will keep our young players thanks . You can keep reinhart

Devils decline. Hughes is probably 2-3 years out from being the same caliber player Eichel is and they don't have to pay him 10 mil per (yet)

Not enough value for Eichel. Would have to add Smith or Holtz and a roster player. Reinhart is more valuable than Hoglander and the negative value of Eriksson, add Vancouver's 2021 1st and Buffalo throws in Boston's 2nd

Honestly I would probably take that deal for Reinhart. Would you consider swapping our 2021 1st for Hog though? I’d prefer not to lose Hog
