Remove a first and add Necas. Either way it’s pretty unlikely, Carolina is already a great team they don’t need Eichel to make them better. Just like Alex Pietrangelo on Vegas.

That is laughable. You want a player who was on pace for 60+ points PLUS MULTIPLE 1sts? GET REAL LMAO

I said remove a first. You are getting a 10 top 10 centre that is elite on both sides of the ice.

Jack was on pace for 70 points over 82 games. Necas was on pace for 64. Eichel has injury issues now, it's known he wants out. Necas is expansion exempt, and far younger. There's no leg to stand on for the Sabres to demand Necas.

Not to mention, this trade sends minimum cap the other direction, giving Buffalo an additional ~$8m in a flat cap year (which is probably worth a 1st & 2nd).

Which really goes to show how good Jack is before his neck injury he had broken ribs a sprained ankle and a stomach injury. Last time we saw a healthy Eichel he was on a 94 point pace.

And the Sabres are getting 3 B+ prospects, 2 1sts, and $8-9m in cap space.

Sabres are not getting any top tier prospects in this trade. When you're competing with other teams that have guys like Rossi or Turcotte you need more than some meh prospects.

I feel like Rossi is a pretty big risk at the moment considering the year he just had

Cap space won’t be a issue. They are going to have trouble getting to the cap floor.

What's to say Eichel's injury isn't lasting? There's a chance, however slim, he's never at that pace again. Hence, his 70 point pace this year WILL NOT GET YOU NECAS! Accept that! Necas is too good to be in a package for Eichel.
