Dismantling this roster

Created by: brady_t12
Team: 2021-22 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: May 20, 2021
Published: May 20, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If the caps lose in round 1 again, that will make three straight post seasons without advancing past round 1. None since the cup. It’s time to overhaul the team.

This is obviously overkill and many of these trades won’t happen. But why not have a little fun with the misery and despair?

Dallas probably isn’t trading away Hintz. Edmonton may not want Wilson, or not for that price. Vegas may not be able to afford Eller, so send him somewhere else that needs center help.

I think the Habs jump on that. Kuzy has his problems and coming to MTL doesnt typically help with the nose candy but for that price they probably take the chance.

Actually I do, You'd be surprised how low his value is after ahem slamming a unprotected superstars bare head on the ice and punching him......

Ill say that I dont think Wilson gets whats above but the guy is delusional thinking that a team doesnt give up at least a 1st and prospect for him.

Wilson has tremendous value. He fetched at least a first and a prospect. A 20 goal scorer and 50 point player that brings the physical presence every team would be interested in if he was ever a FA.

Sorry but this is a bad take, this had zero impact on his value at all and the addition to an Oilers team or any other team is still high. Maybe not a 1st, 2nd and Lavoie but definitely one of those picks and a high prospect or both picks. Kinda like saying no GM would take Marchand after he licked a face......every GM in the league still takes either player at the right price.

Maybe he is worth more than a 2nd but hes not fetching a first AND a a+ prospect. I'd say a 2nd and a B prospect

last 3 season of Tom Wilson: 178 games 117points. that's a .66 ppg average or 54 points in an 82 game season. not saying his worth is 1st + 2nd and a prospect but hes better than advertised by you

I'll admit it I was actually wrong on that situation. Disregard what I said. I think the value is just a bit off on what he posted but can be easily fixed.

if im the Capitals im keeping Wilson. He's easily the 2nd most popular guy in the franchise and he has an amazing work ethic. he plays on the line and i can understand why fans hate him but his value to this team is impossible to measure

I actually don't see him leaving. I personally like him but most overrate his value, He plays that good hard checking intense hockey that the sport needs rn and hes young.

Stars say no. Hintz is better than 3 late firsts, two of which are in a weak draft, Jensen cancels the 2nd. Hintz had a better point per game than this whole team while having a severe injury, we're not dealing our best contract player who's our best forward.

i think Wilson appropriately valued. i do respect you opinion and understand why you think that but ill explain why i think hes valuable. Wilson offers the offensive upside of a top 6 guy(50-55 points ) while being able to handle the things a 4th liner/ bruiser can do. most teams waste a roster spot on guys like Reeves / Martin

Yes,but thats how the game is evolving! Enforcers are slow and "Can't play hockey" where the power forwards will do the same things and put up points.

tbh Boston is really solid and Capitals had bad luck. idk why people are so angry at this team. they are the oldest team in the NHL maybe 3 straight year losing will open more eyes. think of it as a blessing
