It's not a stance, it's the front office's policy. They've outright said they're planning on doing everything they can to keep him, and they're not going to force any signing ultimatums. I get that when one has a daydream about making one's team better it's frustrating when facts get in the way and so it's tempting to write off the messenger as being a lone nut, but that's not the case here.

The front office can say whatever they want but when Jones tells them to pound sand, they may take a different stance.

I definitely see Philly going after Jones. He would be a great fit there and Philly is typically a place players like to be and will sign extensions.

I'd say this is a competitive offer for him. Depending whether CBJ goes full rebuild or not I could see them asking for Konecny. But if you trade him for Gaudreau first that solves that problem lol
