Why???

This is actually a really good return for BUF. Defense - Top pairing guy with offensive upside, and a great middle pairing guy who can put up points and shut down the opposition. A high end offensive player, a good prospect and a high first and mid second. That's a great haul and addresses BUF needs.

Rangers get a scoring vet and a good young center, and still have a ton of youth.

Couture has term that will allow him to be there when they compete and Kaako is replaceable among their depth despite his uptick this season. Can't waste all these ELC years if you're NYR. That first is a lottery first also going to Buf.

Like I said, feels medium but I doubt it's in the easily decline range. Maybe the, request a change here or there range.

I can't see NYR making a trade involving Eichel where he doesn't end up in MSG. The Rangers have enough assets to trade for Eichel and I also can't see Buffalo not pairing a garbage contract with Eichel.

First part is possible but you can kill a rebuild pretty quickly if you trade all your young talent away. Eichel will cost so much more than Couture.

Second part makes no sense. You think the only way Buffalo trades Eichel is if a team out there is gonna take 16+ million in contracts total plus give assets worth Eichel?

Buffalo is looking for a big boost on a rebuild and the one they they will have to do taking in ELCs and moving out 10 million while not getting big UFA's for the next couple years is make the cap floor. Having the time to burn through Okposo is something they can afford to do. Skinner you wait with anyway to see if a new coach can turn him back into a hockey player and go from there.

No I am not thinking any team will take Skinner in the deal but my opinion it would be Okposo or Colin Miller. I understand the unlikely hood of doing a trade where the team getting Eichel takes on around $20 million in cap space.

Miller is most likely going to the Seattle in the expansion draft

Miller and Kakko,

No chance Buffalo is moving Reinhart. That is not a comparable swap. Getting a boost like Couture with like 5 years of term is not cheap.

Sabers are going to move Reinhart it's just a matter of when and for what. He stated he wants out of Buffalo and is a UFA next year so if he signs a short term deal he's out with the Sabers getting nothing. He not like to sign a long term contract. So it's best to trade him early especially if Eichel goes.

I guess I should edit my words.

Sam and Jack are not going in the same deal.
