Killorn isn't waiving for NJ, And FYI Gourde and Johnson will cost far more the get rid of then a lousy 2021 6th round pick and Joseph and a 2022 4th round pick respectively.

Those NTCs could make things very tough. The NHL is closely watch TBL considering the whole Kuch "ironic timing" situation.

Think Raddysh would work for DET?

At the very least if not more, Gourde has 4 x $5,166,666 left it would take multiple 1st round picks at the very least to unload that contract.

Wasn't it Steve Y that signed him to that?

Pretty sure it was, But he's starting to age. And really hasn't been living up to that contract.

No thank you, I'd rather have Kuokk and a 3rd over Killorn with where the team is right now.

I don't think Detroit is the best fit for Gourde considering his age and contract vs where the Red Wings are in there rebuild.

Don't see any of these moves happening.

Kuokkanen's much more ideal for NJ in terms of where they are right now.

Seattle has so many better options to take from Tampa, they wouldn't consider taking Johnson with this low compensation.

Gourde has full NTC...sure joining Stevie Y is in theory possible, but honestly I do think that's pretty unlikely.

Keep Killer, he works well with Cirelli. Gourde goes to Seattle via ExD, and then dump Johnson+1st+2nd to Seattle as well as ExD considerations. That should create the necessary cap space.

that is a pretty inaccurate view on Gourde

he put up 17g and 19 assists in 56games which is pretty respectable for a 5 mil cap hit
(what did Larkin and Mantha do this year again?)

I am all for hating on Tampa and punishing them for their cap cheating
but Gourde is still a contributor, and he was solid in the playoffs
he is physical, defensively reliable, he just sucks at faceoffs

I think the idea that Tampa would have to pay multiple firsts to move him is just.......foolish

Edit:
PS, totally agree it would take a 1st to move Johnson though

Gourde had a great season this year i agree with that, I'm talking last year which wasn't so great.

Devils decline quite easily.
We’d send a late pick for Killorn, otherwise not interested.

That's fine, but then I would argue it is a bad idea to base an opinion off one season
Guorde had back to back 20g seasons before that

Nino had a rough year in Carolina last year but came back with 20g this year
Riley Smith had a bad year in Florida and they dumped him in Vegas (how did that turn out?)

all I am saying is, Gourde is still a solid player. his contract is not an albatross.

and for the record, I hate Tampa, so I'm not tossing them any fan love here.

I see: it's a bad idea to judge a player based off one year unless it's two players on my team who didn't play competitive hockey for TEN MONTHS. Remind again, how long was Tampa's off season? And by the way Reilly Smith had a horrible year so...

Perhaps you missed the point? because it sounds like you are making the same point I made.

My point was: you would NOT call Larkin or Mantha bad players because they had an off year
So why would someone call Gourde a cap dump because he had a down year last year?

I am not really following what you're trying to say here

I'm saying you used a false equivalency to support your argument.

There are multiple things out confirming the Kuch thing was done right, most of NTC become modified and sure more players will likely to be moved in the 4.5-6 mill players area guys like Johnson Palat Killorn Gourde Mcdonagh not saying all of them but certainly 2-3 three of them plus multiple prospects and picks

Tampa isn’t moving Gourde. They are likely letting Coleman walk since a team will pay him more than anything Tampa will offer. Killorn is likely traded, but it may be Palat if Tampa thinks they can’t re-sign him anyway after next year(plus Palat would return more). The decision regarding McDonagh will largely dictate who stays among the forwards, as if he is packaged in a deal with Seattle then Tampa may be able to keep Savard and Coleman depending on numbers. McD likely stays though, so Coleman is likely out. Gourde is more valuable than this offer to the team, and is almost assuredly more valuable than Coleman to them. Johnson and one of Killorn or Palat will get traded/ selected by Seattle, and Coleman leaves in free agency(unless they convince him to take a very team friendly deal and use the money for Goodrow towards him). Tampa has several talented guys waiting and ready for their chance to fill the one or two spots that will be available in the F group next season. A couple of the losses will be unfortunate, but the very talented core will remain intact and just be supported with a couple new pieces next year.
