Pretty solid Eichel trade. Although I can see them asking for maybe Whitecloud or Tuch instead of Smith. The 1st isnt that high value, so if not making the first change then adding a second.

Mrazek will resign in Carolina thank you very much. If you want a capable goaltender from Carolina you would have to settle with Reimer cause Ned and Mrazek aren’t going anywhere

Chicago is very unlikely to eat $3.5M for a 2nd round pick, scraps in Holden and another $1.7M, and a AHL or bottom 6 NHL player which Chicago is flooded with.

I have an Eichel offer I’ve been sitting on for a few days but wasn’t sure of the value. I think it’s pretty good, but other may not agree.

Just looking for some opinions on whether I should post it or not.

In terms of this one, it’s pretty good. I think a bit more would need added though just because the first is late. Probably a prospect, or another 1st.

UFA Mrazek isn't going to team to be the back up. He'll go to team where he has chance to be the # 1.

Hard to believe Mrazek will want to stay around, since he isn't the # 1 with the Canes.

1A 1B with Ned, it would be an insane winning duo

!A and !B? Ned has played the first three playoff games. Mrazek will be looking for # 1 goalie money on maybe his last contract. He'll find better opportunities for the money and the chance to be the "star" elsewhere.

So you want one of Edmonton's best defencemen and a draft pick for one year of a goaltender? I don't even care about the name or the associated cap that comes with him. Philosophically, this trade is just awful.

Add Tuch instead of smith and I would be fine with it

Rangers say yes. Blackwell, while a steal contract and nice depth piece, fit tremendously into Quinn's system, and maybe that won't carry over into the next coaches... plus that opens up a full top 6/9 wing slot for Kaapo and Kravtsov. And Reaves, someone the Rangers expressed interest in before he re-upped in Vegas in 2018 (iirc), would be a good add to their 4th line.... and would get to terrorize Tom Wilson more.

Bear certainly is not their best. Larsson, Nurse and Klefbom are all better defensemen than Bear

Nurse yes, Klefbom is a coinflip based on whether or not he actually returns (can't be better if you're retired), and absolutely not with Larsson. No consistency to his game. He's been great recently, but the window of time between the 2018 season and the first 10 of this season, absolutely not.

Also note that I said one of their best, not that he was their best. Reading comprehension is a skill.

He's not really one of the best when there's multiple guys ahead of him. And with Bouchard coming in, he would be bumped to 4-5 next season, and if Barrie comes back, Bear is suddenly 5-6 on their depth chart. He is expendable

Barrie comes back and I'll burn every ounce of Oilers memorabilia I own and cheer for the godless Flames. You aren't watching the games or capable of forming a half intelligent thought if you think Bear is remotely close to being the problem.

When did i say Bear is a problem? I just said he's fairly expendable given what they have

Must've misread your post. Was pretty headed last night lol

I still like the right side of Bear-Larsson-Bouchard for a season or two. There isn't a hell of a lot to replace Bear internally or externally right now (Savard is the French-Canadian version of Larsson and I don't see Hamilton coming to Edmonton) so I'd prefer to worry about other parts of the roster.
