Flames won't be taking a LD. They don't need them

Habs take Ceulemans, we need RD prospects more than anything

Not saying he’s a bad defence man but don’t just take him to fill a prospect need. We have a ton of good defence men including young ones.

Nikita chibrikov is very talented, along with bourgault, tuomaala and others

Ceulemans is good and fills a need, imo he's the best d not projected to go top 10

Haven’t seen much video on him. If you think he’s fantastic that’s perfectly fine. Just skip the part where you say we take him to fill a need

2nd: Morrow, Mailloux
3rd: Bar, Johnson, Gallagher, Ufko, Schmidt
4th: Heimosalmi, Kostenko, Plandowski
5th: Masters, Montgomery, Legault, Sidler, Machu, Spacek
6th: Matier, Krokhalyov, Martin, Guevin, Mancini

I can't see Yzerman taking Jesper Wallstedt 6th, He'd take either Clarke or Johnson you can never have enough RD especially since both Hronek and Seider can play LD. If we were to pick 8th then perhaps Yzerman would take Wallstedt.

It’s unlikely the sabres would take another LD. they already have way too many. Trading Eichel and Reinhart leaves them with a big gap at center so Beniers makes a lot of sense.

I would love to take Schmidt in round 3, He's a big body which I like

In this situation I think Detroit takes Wallstedt or Edvinsson. Unless Olausson is hands down the best player left I think Detroit would go with a center. Yes Yzerman has taken a goalie in the 1st round but it was his 2nd pick in the 1st round. I'd like to see Detroit draft LHD like Edvinsson with their 1st pick and try to get Cossa with Washington's 1st. But who knows.

I'd be happy picking Eklund or Guenther or Clarke at #3.

I'd be happy picking Lysell or Edvinsson or Clarke at #8.

Speaking for a friend:

I'd be happy picking McTavish at #13.

Agree Habs need a future successor to Petry as a puck moving RHD but Guhle can also play the right side with Romanov although that may not be optimal. IMO we still need goal scoring depth at Centre. This may be a draft based on lack of game experiences where scouting does not differentiate much in terms of BAP, and need jumps up more . IMO the centers with value are McTavish, Sillinger, Pastujov and Bourgault

Almost no chance mctavish or sillinger are available. If they’re somehow still there MB should sprint to the podium
