Description
Tkachuk trade - Eberle gives them RW (cap), '22 #1 unprotected, Dobson, low-cost bottom 6. Might not be enough but it is what I'd give up
Isles trade '22 to Seattle to take Hickey - who they then buyout.
Isles resign Greene and Zajac and sure up D with Kulikov at a low cost
Pray Bolduc and Wilde replace Dobson potential

Why do people keep floating the idea that Calgary would even consider trading Matthew Tkachuk?

Flames aren't trading Tkachuk.
Islanders aren't trading Mathew Barzal.
Hurricanes aren't trading Sebastian Aho.
Avalanche aren't trading Nathan McKinnon.
Maple Leafs aren't trading Mitch Marner or Auston Matthews.

I could go on, but I think I've made my point.

With the Isles so goalie dependent the '22 1st is compelling but to add to the point of @OldNYIfan yeah these guys only get moved for ransoms

The only scenario would be for Eichel. If they can't do that, then you're absolutely correct, he will be playing the 21/22 season in Calgary.

You know, I'm not even sure about that, because Buffalo guys would also expect an additional two firsts or the equivalent, and that just doesn't make sense for the Flames.

If Gaudreau is telling the truth and would re-sign long term in Calgary I would do Tkachuk a 1st and Zary for Eichel.
