Agreed, I would accept that trade and let Danault walk.

Schults buyout penalty is 600k.... it would be cheaper to buy him out

Kuzy trade doesnt benefit the Capitals at all....its just a bad trade. Kuzy can easily fetch you a 1st + good prospect.

Byron is a cap dump and would cost money to dump.... great example is Capitals paid either a 2nd or 1st to dump Panik...
Brook is 22 years old and has never played in the NHL ever. at that point i would rather take a 3rd - 4th round pick bc at least that pick will be 18-19 lol
1st is valuable but the rest of this trade is trash players/prospects... i would rather get full value for Kuzy than pennies on the dollar

i dnt blame you i would jump on this deal in a second.... Capitals imo paid a 1st to dump Panik. Habs are basically trade Brooks for Kuzy. Absolute steal

i think Byron has more to give than Panik but i would still do this trade if Brook was subbed with a B+ prospect (Struble/Harris/Mysak/etc) and the 3rd doesnt need to come back MTL's way

    Byron (3.4m) vs Panik (2.75m)

    Byron
    131 24g 33a 57p .44ppg or 35points in 82 games
    49.64cf% 48.70ff% 45.21xgf%

    Panik
    182 27g 41a 68p .37ppg or 31 points in 82 games
    52.23cf% 51.63ff% 52.70xgf%

id say they are fairly comparable but Panik is slightly better and makes less money. like i said it would cost a 1st / 2nd to dump Byron on top of paying Kuzy value which is a 1st + B+ / A- prospect

You've obviously never seen Josh Brook play. As a Habs fan I'm not making this trade. Brook will be a very good top 4 D.

Cool. Still not trading a 1-2c that scores 60-70 points for a cap dump a late first and a maybe top 4 d man.
