No way RNH goes from Edmonton who was the favorites to make the 2nd round to the worst team in the leauge.

He most likely wants to win not go through another rebuild when his current team just got out of one

I think they would. Thankfully the sabres won’t trade him. Casey had a higher ppg than Larkin btw.

imo he'll never win with EDM; this team is badly structured for Stanley cup run

Wow just barely Mittlestadt 22 points in 41 games, Larkin 23 points in 44 games. Not a big difference there.

Don't get me wrong, the value is fine and he's a fine player, I just don't think he's ready to be a true #2 center and that's what our need is, so trading for him just doesn't make sense right now. I wouldn't be mad if they traded for him, I just don't think Detroit is the right landing spot is all.

The Eichel trade isn’t good. Probably pick 9 in a not great draft, a good not great prospect and a cap dump is a terrible return and should result in a GM firing immediately. I’m not saying Byfield, Turcotte, Kupari, and two first but this is way light

The two trades that are OK are Miller going to Seattle and getting a 5th for Cody Eakin - On the bad side, The Eichel trade is terrible, Mittelstadt has proved he can play in the NHL and now you want to trade him for almost nothing, Borgen is a RD which we are now low in Kylington is a LD which we have plenty of, neither are very good but why do I want to give up a low value RD for a low value LD- and unless you know about the impending greatness of that Boston guy that trade also makes no sense.

Almost everything that you’ve proposed here makes Buffalo worse somehow. Stop trading useful pieces for lottery tickets with low upside.

The Trade I've seen that I thought was fair was Eichel for Byfield, Akil Thomas, 2021 1st.

Three thoughts:

1. I've never understood the idea of putting a value on a draft pick by the perceived "depth" of a draft levee. Who cares whether it's a "great draft" if you select Zach Senyshyn at #15 and someone else selects Sebastian Aho at #35? The #8 overall in this "not great draft" could produce the next David Pastrnak.

2. Cap dump? Victor Olofsson had 32 points (13-19) in 56 games (including 6 on the power play) and Brown had 31 points (17-14) in 7 fewer games, with 9 on the power play.

3. All that being said, this is a woeful offer for Jack Eichel. I'd add a roster forward and Kale Clague instead of Brown and substitute Alex Turcotte for Rasmus Kupari unless you preferred the latter (!).

Zary Cal first and tkachuk seemed to have been well received as well, by both cal fans and Buf fans.

1) because not great draft vs great drafts produce better chances of hitting good players. Better odds at finding them. I mean that’s not really that hard to deduce.

2) your implying that I think VO is worth a 4M contract, which I don’t. Dustin Brown with one year left turning 37 is a cap dump for the Sabres.

3) agreed
