Hamonic has played alright for the Canucks, but is inconsistent and playing above his skill at his age....he is no Tanev. Hamonic is better served on the second or third line.

The problem is finding a good partner for Hughes. The same issue Edmonton faces with McDavid.

Tbh Hamonic has looked pretty decent for the Canucks. If you compare his and Tanev's contracts, it's expected that Hamonic isn't the same guy that Tanev was. But at least he brings a physical and gritty game to the Canucks blueline which they desperately need.
