So just curious, what happens when Radulov and Galchenyuk get new contracts next year? Markov is the only player coming off the books and lets be realistic, MB is resigning him and judging by how bad the Habs have been without Markov, I'm ok with it.

Also Arizona is not desperate for centers. Its not like Chayka is crawling through the desert uttering, "Centres, I need centres" and MB the sexy god that he is descending from the sky and dropping little ol' DD in his hands and saying "Here you go my child." Long story short. DD has salary that needs to be paid to him. Arizona wouldn't want to add salary to their cap situation just to satisfy their apparent thirst for a centre in a season where they are looking to be as bad as possible anyway. Even if it was for a 7th rounder. I mean they can always just recall a centre from their farm club or claim one on waivers. Truth is, MTL is the one that has to give Arizona a draft pick for them to take DD off our hands.

In all honestly, Radulov is going to sign a BIG deal next year. We won't be able to keep him. Even if he said he'd take less to stay here. They all say that. They all leave frown

With the draft we might lose Plekanec (no reason to protect him) or Markov (who I would not protect over Beaulieu) therefore saving us 5+ millions.

And Davey as a positive Corsi rating so...you know...Chayka might like that.

That's assuming Markov resigns before the end of the season, which I think Bergy would do.

How much do you think Radulov will get? 7m+???? Okposo 6.5, Lucic 6.5M Ladd 5.5M Ericksson 6M. How does Radulov who has been back for one season earn more then those guys? He's good but he isn't a superstar. Habs will want to resign him over Cammalleri anyway. He's only going to be a couple mil cheaper but Radu is younger, better and bigger. What more do you want? I'd say pay him. Cammalleri is getting too old and is small and injured a lot lately.

Markov and Plekanec will not be taken in the expansion draft. Come on now. We don't need to protect either of them because LV won't take them. Plekanec will have 1 year left and he is a UFA so that doesn't give LV much in terms of future certainty because he'll probably want to sign with a contender and try to win a cup before retiring and Markov won't want to leave the one and only team he's ever played for to go to a circus team in the desert for one more year. Bergevin won't resign him until July 1st after the expansion draft because both Bergevin and Markov want whats bets for each other is this scenario.

As for DD, who cares if he has a positive corsi, it has really nothing to do with DD to be honest. Its just logic, why does Arizona want to pay the remainder of a 3.5M cap hit in a season where they aren't going to win anyway? They don't!
