I don't feel that it's the case personally but reckon almost all teams would consider AJo a cap jettison at this point though he wasn't that bad this season

Lack of secondary assists and low shooting % mostly

5th best Corsi rel % on the devils this season

Hey,

My thoughts for Blues + Flyers is that they lose those players to Expansion regardless.

Sharks, they need cap space and get a player coming out of his shell and sell Meier who had a down year.

I dont know if the flyers take that, if they can get Seattle to take somebody else. Ghost maybe (19 mins, on pace for 45 pts, pretty okay defensively this year). Ghost is probably gone in espansion and trade, which gives them plenty of cap without dealing JVR.

Thje 3rd and the 5th are pretty meh and Merkley really offers little when you look at their forward center corps and prospects (Couterier, Hayes, Patrick, Frost, Laughton, Foerster, Wisdom, etc...)

While JVR is overpaid, hes a reliable, no injury history 25g guy, whos a safe bet to produce throughout contract and I can;t really see PHI needing cap space to address their issues. What they lack is a defensive RD, and they probably have plenty of cap to make that happen if they move ghost. PHI finished with a winning record that would have put them in playoffs in 2 of 4 divisions, scored plenty, just couldn;t stop anybody from scoring. Their youth regressed, especially hart, sanheim and myers, (along with patrick, lindblom, provorov)....those issues are solvable without freeing tons of cap.

disagree I'm firmly thinking Blues will try to trade something to have them take Scandella. Now after expansion draft I'd be interested in seeing if the Blues could get him for draft picks and such.

Ehh you do know there are 30 other teams, right? You're not the only shop in tow. Besides, are we not supposed to notice all the cap space you're gaining on the Blues? They pass without a second thought.

Make me understand a trade for jvr?
We want wingers for 13 and 86, got it.
Fitz says 26 and younger in age
Jvr is 32 and $7M for 2 more
Sending back multiple picks and Merk.
Yet Meier who is 24 $6M for 2 more and a RFA not an option!
Im not in love with Timo but I don't get it.
Same with the Hamilton argument. A 27 yr old #1-2 RHD is a UFA and would cost 8.5/9M x 6 or 7
The cases for and against in Devs threads make me crazy.
