Like I said 47 games lol. If the NHL redrafted today no way in hell is he one of the first 5 goalies selected.

PP SV% are you serious lol. Do you know how many goalies this year had a 1.00 SV% with their team on the PP? I count 10 w/ at least 20GP (31 if you ignore 20gp)

I count 7 guys w/ a better PK SV% and WTF is "good scoring chance SV%" because I've never heard for it.

Again you want to think he's elite then go ahead, but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who isn't a NYR homer to agree. Hell I live in Ranger country and all the Rangers fans I've talked to wouldn't call him elite.

With that I'm out because your not going to change my mind and I'm not going to change yours

cheers

Lol. I'm not even a Rangers fan. But when a guy has consistently above average stats in multiple categories, it kinda says he's good. Don't know how you choose a team but someone that can stop the puck in all situations in an elite goalie.

High danger situations (so when it's a very hard scoring chance against) I believe he was 2nd to only Nedeljkovic. Better than all of Vasilevskiy, Gruabuer, Saros, Fleury, Driedger, Smith... I mean some of those guys are up for the Vezina this year. But I guess someone being better than them isn't good. Okay 😂

Cheers.

Never said you were a Rangers fan did I? Nope. Consistently needs to be more than 47 games. He has the potential to be elite, but to give him that label after 47 games is asinine. Swayman put up stupid numbers in 10 games this year, can I call him elite? No because it's such a small sample size. 47 games is about 1yr of games for a #1 goalie in the NHL. You want to call him elite after one season of work? Seems premature, no?

Btw I like Igor. I live 30 minutes from Hartford and saw him numerous times in the AHL. I've even had a chance to meet him a few times and he was a really down to earth guy. I hope he reaches he potential, but I'm not calling him elite after 47 games
