If a win now team trades a prospect who has never played in NHL for a good young player that can help immediately...that is not bad. That is what winning franchises do. Sell part of future for better today.

Yes. They're short-sighted, not decisive enough and do nothing in their current situation. Your center core is weaker now and your prospect pool is considerably weaker.

Schneider as good as he is, is a RD and we are more interested in a potential top line LD. On this basis alone we would decline the offer I believe.
