Today i learned Leo Komarov and Victor Hedman are overrated, as well as Mark Stone and Connor McDavid are underrated

How is Draisaitl overrated and McDavid underrated? McDavid is the best in the world, that doesn’t make him underrated... also Draisaitl is a top 5 center in the league! Underrated could be Jesse Puljujarvi, and overrated could be Ethan Bear depending on who you are talking to.

Some of those players on the "overrated" column aren't really overrated by their teams or fans. Certainly many are overpaid.

Exactly people say hes not better than matthews when he clearly is Drai was better than mcdavid in 2019 what does that tell you eh? Granted Mcdavid was coming off a major injury but still that's some accomplishment.

Yup, he is better than Matthews, but that will be a argument for years to come. So yah, I don’t see how he is overrated. In my opinion, Ethan Bear is more overrated than Leon Draisaitl.

Idk, I feel like Komarov still gets some people suggesting the leafs should bring him back and pay him that, I couldn't really think of anyone who's that overrated from the isles, I don't think Hedman deserves to be really in the Norris discussion, yet the NHLN poll had him as a near unanimous Norris favorite, Stone I really couldn't think of anyone on VGK so I went with a sterotypical/normal player, and the fact that anyone says McD isn't the best player in the league makes him underrated

People say McD isn't the best player in the league, and imo it isn't close, so therefore he is underrated imo (pool party and Bear could both be good answers tho) idk, I couldn't really think of anyone other than Drai, he should not have won the hart last yr tho, and he's at best the 5th C in the league

Wood is not good beyond zoom, I like Butcher from his rookie yr still, Ik he hasn't been that good since, but I think he could be a really good pickup for someone, was debating between him and Nico

id say josh Bailey is the most overrated player on the isles, eberle or beauvillier most underrated.

I didn't want to argue with leafs fans about on of the big 4 tbh, and while the player himself isn't really overrated, I think almost everyone realizes he sucks now, when he started playing for the leafs I saw some people say how good the leafs development system is that he all of a sudden became usable, which just makes no sense

he's been elite defensively this year he was the leagues mvp last year so he rightfully won it

Honestly only biased people say McDavid isn’t the best.. he clearly is, and he has been showing it year after year. Draisaitl was the most valuable in my opinion, especially when McDavid went down.... he deserved it. There were a few players that were pretty close. That doesn’t make him overrated in my opinion... he’s just good. In my opinion he is the 5th center men on the chart.

First, all three are still very good, but Aho is not good defensively, and iirc he got some (like 5th place) selke votes last yr, and ik he was at least in the discussion by some, Girard is flashy with his spin moves and whatnot, but hasn't been THAT effective aside from drawing penalties and shooting, and Theo is still a top 10 d man (at least) I just wouldn't quite put him at the top for the Norris like I've seen, and I really couldn't think of anyone else on VGK, like Chandler Stephenson or Cody Glass maybe..???

You have the Wild's d-men in the wrong columns. Spurgeon gets all love (he's been the worst of MN top-4 d-men most of the season) and not much is said about Suter other than his ice time is down a lot.

Probably, or people that just want clicks for hot takes, but I've still seen it, I strongly disagree, I would have given it to Panarin or Helle easily last yr, I just can't look past his woeful defense, and also lots of bointz from an absurd PP

I am certainly not a leafs fan, but he is easily a top 5 C in the league, at worst 4, and I could also argue point over Drai (but could also argue Drai over Barkov probably)
