              From another Caps fan's perspective:

              CGY 1 Trade - Yes
              CGY 2 Trade - Yes
              CBJ Trade - No
              CHI Trade - Maybe
              MIN Trade - Reluctant yes
              MTL Trade - Yes
              FLA Trade - Yes

Only trade I realistically see happening is the second Calgary trade and honestly I'm not sure of how much I like it. FLA won't give up that much, MTL won't either. CHI would probably give that up for Kuzy if they really want him but I doubt they do. I don't want Victor Rask here but regardles MIN is probably giving up more than they'd like. I don't think we're getting nearly enough value for Kuzy from CBJ. I don't see Calgary giving up Dube.

Kuzy really isn’t as good as his contact says he should be. I would temper expectations on any returns like this in a trade because his contract will keep the returning assets lower in value. The likeliest destination for his is right back on the Caps middle 6, and underperforming.

Is there any team I didn't include you think would have interest in Kuznetsov?

NYR probably. They're rumored to be after a top-6 center.

Caps aren't going to trade him to a division rival. That just spells bad news lol

Think if Caps were truly set on moving the guy, I think the return is of much more importance than where he's going to, but that's just me.

Personally though I think a CGY deal involving Monahan seems the most logical to me. A classic hockey deal and giving them both a change of scenery. If Bennett sets an example of how well players who move on from Calgary start to play, WSH could become a big winner there.

Monahan for Kuzy is something I'd be perfectly good with if it's determined that Kuzy just doesn't fit here anymore. I think it's closest to fair value for Kuzy.

Thats a pretty resounding NO from CHI. Blocks Dachs path and even if Toews doesn't return for some unknown reason, I think we would go for other options rather than give those assets up for Kuzy.
