Jones is a very good offensive defenseman which is not what Edmonton needs at the current moment. Also, korpisalo isn't very good and elivs would be a better option for edmonton.Also, holloway seems untouchable at the moment.

Jones can give you 25 minutes a night and can play lots of roles. At some point in time EDM needs to make a decision on having a more balanced team if they want to win. They can't rely on two guys. I don't see us giving up Elvis.

Yes, and that was mostly the offence.. trust me I watched the games. Also, in my opinion, Ethan Bear played horribly! But yes, I would like to get a number 1 defence man.

Team has no balance? Perhaps, but not because of the defence. It’s a forward depth issue. Teams with bad defence don’t lose tight, 1 goal games against the high octane Winnipeg jets. Edmonton average 1 goal against for every 25 minutes of play, 2.4 GA/60 minutes. And if you take away that 3:03 period in game 3 where the Oilers **** their pants (more because of young defencemen than bad ones) it’s only 1 GA for every 33 minutes.

The team is not that far off, and if you actually watched the games, you would have seen that. They played some excellent hockey and were just extremely unlucky to lose all of those games. Take away 4 bounces at the right times from the jets and give them to the Oilers, and Edmonton would be up 4-0. But it just wasn’t to be.

A team 4 bounces away from Winning a series doesn’t give up 4 years of 1st round picks for two players with 1 year of contract left. Honestly, what are you thinking?

I watched the games. I saw a young team without a number 1 dman and no solid goaltending. They gave up bad leads and have a team based around 2 players. IMO i find it not to be balanced. I personally think they are very close too but they have a lot of offseason work to do. Lots of UFA and RFA to deal with. Not a lot of free agents out there either.

I think at some point in time you guys have to make a move like this. You don't have the D to carry through the playoffs and there isn't any good free agents. You hadn't made the "playoffs" for 3 years now get bounced in 4 games. Obviously something is wrong.

If you didn’t see Darnell Nurse playing #1 D, then no, you didn’t watch the games. Edmontons solid goaltender, Mike smith had a 0.912 save % in the playoffs, and if you didn’t see his good stops then I feel like you didn’t watch the games. They did absolutely give up 1 large lead and a couple other 1 goal leads, for that, I can believe you read press clippings, maybe even watched some highlights.
