        The Islanders aren't trading the goalie they waited years for. He's the guy going forward. As a Ranger fan I wish they would, but they won't.

        The islanders signed varlamov to make the transition for sorokin easier and they burned the last year of his ELC before he played a game in the NHL - there is no chance they trade sorokin unless it’s a significant overpay.

        I agree with the others, Sorokins not going anywhere, but I love how some guys think the answer to another teams cap problems is by trading them back cap in return..lol..oye.

        It’s creative but that’s an over pay for a goalie that isn’t exactly 100% tested. Take Barron out and I can get behind it. But no way is COL going to deal Barron AND Helleson.

        He's as much of a positive defensively as he is a negative offensively. When you put it all together, there isn't much there
