Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Derek Ryan could be removed with Nuge at 3C to save some cap to re-sign Nurse and Bear, and for playoff acquisitions (or if signings cost more). Grandlund, Saad (appealing) Hoffman, Palmeri, Janmark (less appealing) other forward options if signings are unavailable. Sign Kulikov/Murray/Martinez if Seattle selects Jones/Klefbom and cannot obtain Oleksiak. Other Goalie options include Driedger, Raanta, Mrazek, Bernier, or Merzlinkins or other via trade (please not Korpi). Let some forwards go and low on depth signing to allow room for AHL players to have a cup of coffee (Benson, Marody, possibly Lavoie or Holloway if they show nice). Joel Armia another option for depth talent & PK option if Barclay cannot be signed. Kassian can be moved if the right deal is found.

Right and Edmonton can add in a first this year and a top prospect for wings to take kassians contract.

Kassian is a cap dump and worth very little, You'd have to pay us to take him off your hands not the other way around.

Really looks like the truth judging by Holland's final press conference and rumors circulating. Only I think Kassian will not be changed, he is a useful driving player, Tippet and Holland like him.

@DiehardRedWingsFan58 @buffbry You guys are probably right, Kassian dump was something I threw in and didn't put a lot of thought in. However I wouldn't mind keeping Kassian, just not for over $3M.

That 4th line is very bad. You can’t have small average skilled guys as your 4th line they will get ran out of the building every time. Ennis was scratched almost have the season and kahun wasn’t reliable defensively or much offensively you need a 4th line that has a combination of size speed and grit they aren’t out there to score goals there out there to control possession and grind teams down.
