Why would NYR trade for Kane. They need C and LD, not more wingers... and that contract is a disaster already.

We can still add a C/LD as well and get the Sharks to retain 2m on Kane.

Kane got the grit and scoring touch.

He can play RW and also we have Buch, Krav, Kakko. Rangers are loaded with talent lol but they all can't play so this off season is going to be huge.

If there is retention of Salary I am down for it. It does not look like Sharks are in rebuild mode. I do think Kane would be a solid addition though. The Kreider contract is an albatross that I hated from the very beginning. Only way Kreider makes that contract worthwhile is if he can play on the edge like Kane/Wilson/Simmonds/Ritchie, but if that was the case we would not need a guy like Kane so, he never will and he is constantly up and down anyway.
