100%. In no world does a team give up 2 first round picks for a buyout that isn't that bad. That was a huge part of the reason the Oilers added a 3rd and cap retention to the Lucic deal was so that we could by out Neal if required.

None of the deals make any sense. Also, why is Seattle getting 3 players through expansion? And Abramov just signed in the KHL for 2 years so he's out of the NHL until at least 2023.
