There's no reason for COL to do this. They are trying to win, trading good depth players for prospects and picks doesn't make sense

I would LOVE for Las Vegas to make that trade. Only way I would improve it is to add Mark Stone.

If they dont lose Graves then they lose someone else. In this scenario Graves, Nichushkin, and one other player (to seattle) will be gone. COL is much better off just letting seattle take 1 player. Avs dont need any prospects or picks

Vegas trade seems like a sideways move. I’d rather keep Bratt and Wood. Smith is 30 and his production is starting to fall off. Tuch is a stud but so is Bratt and Bratt is younger

Devils decline the Vegas trade.
Good chance Vegas makes Smith available for cap purposes.

Neither team does the Avs trade.
