CBJ Retool

Created by: Kev22
Team: 2021-22 Columbus Blue Jackets
Initial Creation Date: May 28, 2021
Published: May 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'm sure that Canucks fans won't like this one. Tried to make it fair, probably could have used the CBJ first instead of the other two, so it could be tweaked some. Most of the other moves are UFA signings, but don't anticipate this would be the route the CBJ take, it usually doesn't turn out well. Happy torching.

CBJ here. No way Vancouver does that. Only way it MIGHT happen is if Z resigns for long term before trade.

The only way for Vancouver to even consider that is if CBJ’s first was in it.

And I’m not sure if that’s even enough.

No, there is absolutely no way it happens unless you are adding 6 more first round picks and Laine to the package, otherwise is it so far off it is too funny.

Horrible trade for Jackets. If CBJ proposes a package like this (or the 1st 5OA) it would center around Boeser OR Petterson, not Horvat.

One night of rioting in the streets I guess is better than a lifetime of players not wanting to stay in your city. I suggest the next time you make a proposal try to make it so it is not laughable.

Really. I thought that was pretty good value for Jenner. Ultimately, I think Jenner stays, he's a good leader, but his production lately is going to have to catch up with his salary.

I forgot how the season went. Is the Canucks tee time before or after the Jackets?

Horvat is a much, much better player than Boeser. 5OA not getting you either Pettersson or Horvat though.

Do they have a golf course in Columbus? I thought they only had an over rated university and a bad hockey team?

Come to Columbus and then get back to me. Seems Vancouver has a bad hockey team too.

while the canucks trade is one sided, i can feel the frustration of being in no mans land with your team.Canucks fans should think back pre Peety how we felt, we also grasped at straws.just an opinion.

It is good value, its just the fact of getting the CBJ to part ways with him, hes more valuable to us, then his market value, if that makes sense

Oh you know, since we have the HOTTEST housing market in the nation, one of the fastest growing midwest tech hubs, and oh ya, just about every major clothing, and logistics carrier located here. I wonder why ex CANADIAN players are retiring here and not in..... (checks notes) Seattle's hat

Good retort...... LOL imagine thinking the positives of your city solely rely on the tourism industry. Here's things we have, A booming job industry, low cost of living, parking, affordable housing, low cost of food and other commodities. What we dont have, scenery.... you GOT ME!. PS, players not wanting to play here? who? Panarin..... his girlfriend wanted to go to NY. Bob, too much money (ask Florida how that is working out, we didnt offer Duchane (ask the preds how that is working out) PLD? he hated the fact that CBUS isnt ultra lib and wanted to go home to mom and dad. Spare me the media narrative on cbus. But by all means, keep pounding away that your city looks cool on the GRAM. You are welcome for the free national defense we provide though.

Let's add a little reality to this. You were the one who took the first attack at the city with your rioting remark.

Secondly Vancouver makes the top 10 list every year of the best city in the world to live . Columbus I am not sure if they are even listed in the top 500 in the world.

Getting back to the hockey issue the post was to trade two twenty five goal scorers and a top 4 Dman for an above average Dman and two late round first picks in a weak draft that may never play an NHL game . We are very thankful you added a fourth round pick that has 13 NHL goals in two years that is a solid distractor . If that is not enough you solidified the deal with a guy who has 11 goals in three years. Where can I sign?
