I wouldn't do either trade. Zacha is finally doing well and has great chemistry with Nico and Bratt. We shouldn't trade him. The Guentzel trade doesn't make sense for a rebuilding team. There are cheaper options out there

They should not make a trade that involves this years first unless all 4 of the top defenseman are gone by that pick. No amount of offensive firepower will cover their need for a #1 two way defenseman.

I don't mind this from an Oilers perspective get a young asset at a good cap hit and dump the Neal contract. I think the combination of those is worth (what would hopefully be a late round) first.

This statement is pretty hilarious considering the top 4 defenceman in this class are all offensive defenceman and have massive defensive deficiencies. If Hughes and Clarke are gone it wouldn't surprise me at all if they took a forward anyways.

acquiring a 26 year old, point per game, goal scoring winger makes no sense for a rebuilding team... Lol. Best way to get out of a rebuild is to acquire good players, especially when you're paper thin on the wings and your two first overall picks have struggled to produce

I think they'd be foolish not to sell high on Zacha / take advantage of cap space.

What don't you like about the Pens trade? just curious

and NJ would hope it's a mid / early first wink lol. I like Bear too and fills a big need for us at RD

They are all young and have the offensive side of the game pretty much figured out. I think Edvinsson and Power for sure have the tools to learn the defensive side of the game but its mostly up to how the team plans to develop the top 4 defenseman. The main point is that they can't keep kicking the can down the road with addressing the defense and need more high end impact players back there. I like the proposed Oilers trade but it isn't enough to make this years first expendable.
