Please for the love of all that is holy NO!!! None of these trades work in Buffalo's favor at all. If you don't have rival fans saying no to an Eichel deal it is not worth making.

Eichel for a top 6 winger, top 4 dman, bottom 6 player and 2 1sts is bad? Since when? Reinhart for a top 4 young dman, two picks, and a solid bottom 6 player is bad too? Every trade where these players go for an absurd amount people freak out about. These trades are both fair IMO

Bad trade with St. Louis. We could find LD much cheaper or even free, especially since Dunn is not so good. Moreover, it is unlikely that we will fight for something with this line-up. Then trade with Wild doesn't make sense either.

Yes. Terrible deal for Buffalo. No top prospect. Nothing to address center. Two fairly late 1sts. A cap dump in Rask. Fiala makes sense at least. Dumba has some value but is overpaid and only has 2 years left so the value isn't huge for what Buffalo needs.

Here is the issue you clearly forget how hard it was for Buffalo to get a true #1 center after the departure of Brier. Buffalo gave up O'Reilly for a boatload of stuff it took years for Tage Thompson to start blossoming. The reason you see what you consider unreasonable is because #1 centers are incredibly difficult to find. If the Sabres do not get a #2 center or a prospect that projects to either be a first or second line center is not a deal worth making. That is where i would start because those were the lessons learned from the O'Reilly trade.

As far as Reinhart, he just started playing center for the Sabres which provides insulation for Mittelstadt and Cozens so they dont have to be thrust into positions they are not ready for. If Reinhart is going to be traded i think a big portion of this decision will depend on Buffalo getting either the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft this year. If Buffalo takes an NHL ready defenseman like Owen Power then i would think they are set on the left side.

As for Ristolainen Buffalo does not need more picks they need a goalie.
