That 4th line has not worked, not enough speed.

Don't need a pure checking line vs Mtl.

Galchenyuk has only had one good game, don't think he's cemented a spot in the top 6.

I'd throw Foligno on to L2, keep L3 the same, and put Galch with Jumbo and Spezza. Galch (more speed and creativity) and Spezza could create some magic vs weaker comp.

I think it's better to save him for Round 2. Don't play him Game 6.

I think I have to disagree on this. We dont know if TOR is gonna be in the second round, so its best to throw in Foligno to increase our chances with a win. Id be confident in Foligno sitting if Tavares was still in the lineup, but not as of now

IMO, I'm fine with Kerfoot up the middle, he's been playing/skating well and he knows Nylander's tendencies. Nylander tends to get drifting in the D-zone quite a bit and if the C is not as familiar that can cause some confusion (think it helped lead to a goal against in Gm 2). Foligno doesn't have to worry about that as much if he's LW. And if he's still nursing that injury a bit, he likely doesn't rack up as many KMs on LW.

Fair but since kerfoot is bad at faceoffs Foligno and Nylander would be taking them instead of him

Yeah, that works. They seem to be going that route the last few games.

I'd be ok with leaving 2nd line as is and play foligno between mikey and wayne train. Engvall has looked good to me and is a good skater. Put him between jumbo and spezza to add speed and just let Spezza take draws.

Yeah, I just worry about secondary scoring in that situation.

Mikey - no 5v5 offence
Foligno - 5v5 offence when playing with Am34 & Marner
Simmonds - no 5v5 offence
Jumbo - no 5v5 offence
Engvall - no 5v5 offence
Spezza - decent 5v5 offence

I'm not sure if Foligno is good enough offensively to get any production from Simmonds (Mikey is hopeless at this point)
Engvall helps that 4th line, but doesn't really make them more dangerous to score

Galchenyuk on the 4th line could make them a legit scoring threat, and leaves the 3rd line as a "hopefully control the play more than 50% line".

You could also play this 4th line (with Galch) a bit more if you are behind.

Also at some point soon Tavares will be back, so L2 will look different eventually.
