If Leafs lose to MTL and lines

Created by: NazemKadri43
Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 28, 2021
Published: May 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If the Leafs choke the MTL series, Dubas and Keefe should be fired. Keefe shouldn't get out coached by an AHL coach, and Dubas spent three years trying to build a team, that could result in three first round exits

correction ducharme is an assistant coach, regardless of level lol. He has shown he cant be trusted to make tough decisions as a head coach.

tears of joy the guy was an assistant and now head coach and Bergevin might keep him as head coach (small chance tho)

meh, even as an outsider, dubas has done a great job working around a tight cap situation while keeping top talent. he drafts well, & makes pretty good trades and signings, if the leafs lose, idk if you can really blame him when his 11m$ centre gets hurt in game one and his 5m$ starter forgets how to stop a puck. I think the leafs have the chance to be more dangerous next year than this year tbh

No more excuses. Sad that he got injured, but that's why you have Matthews, Marner, and Nylander to get it done. If they can't, the Toronto Maple Chokers will live on

I'll be pretty pissed and disappointed if the the Leafs lose this series, but to say "Dubas spent three years trying to build a team" is the type of thinking that leads to Buffalo Sabres situations.

No one is trying to compare their team to the Buffalo Sabres. Lou had the same amount of time to build the Islanders as Dubas with the Leafs, and who brought more success to their organization. I like Dubas more than Lou, but one GM won 5 series while the other is still figuring out how to not choke in the 1st round

Please remind me what Keefe was before being called up? It doesn't matter what you were before, if you're a good coach you're a good coach. Calm down, we are still leading the series 3 - 2.

Wait, im confused, a couple weeks ago you said the leafs didnt have a chance to beat the habs because the habs are built for the playoffs pr something, but now it would be so embarrassing to lose to them that the coach and gm must be fired?
Which is it?

Keefe shouldn't choke the series to a team that never had a training camp with their new coach

yeah but the issue with that is that JT is paid to be an impact player and he is points aside, past Matthews Marner, Nylander and JT the depth falls off outside of hyman, so if one of them gets hurt thats a huge hole in the team. You can say that it's his fault for signing him and causing them to lack depth i guess, but the leafs were a top NHL team with that roster makeup, and firing a GM who hasn't really done anything wrong is dumb

I know what will happen if the leafs win, youll disappear until they lose a game to the jets and come back with some more over the top trolling like this.
You really gonna use 'laffs' and still try to pretend to be a leafs fan? Cmon bro

Still not an excuse if they choke the series away. Leafs won three without him, they are capable of it, but right now, it's the Leafs series to lose

Umm.... they did for 2-3 weeks. Remember when Leafs fans were celebrating when Mikheyev scored 4 goals in a practice game to then score 0 goals during the play-in round

Your team turns into the Buffalo Sabres if you cycle through GMs every 3 years.

Cherry picking one GM that has had some playoff success in the same amount of time is a pretty funny argument, and completely overlooks any other factor (such as playoff opponents, age of team, etc.).

You mean how the 4th place Islanders dismantled a 1st place team a few days ago?
