That's probably too much for Eichel. Buffalo has said that they value Eichel at 4 1st round picks worth of assets

That's realistic to what's being asked for, but I'm not sure I'd want to do it if I were the Rangers......

Take away atleast 1 of those picks(maybe 2) and might be worth it for Rangers.

NYR or the LAK do seem the front-runners to land Eichel as far as having the requisite assets, that's for sure. While I agree that the above-mentioned is far too steep a price for the Rangers to pay, if I am Buffalo I make it known that the Rangers need to offer up more than anyone if they're gonna ship him to a state "rival" and play him 8 times per season! Honestly, I could totally see a surprise team make a crazy push for him. Wouldn't put it past Vegas to work a miracle and swing for him; the Knights seem to be in on everyone and get their fair share!!

Sabres jumping on that. They don't want to deal with that neck

With Eichel's neck issues I wouldn't trade for him no matter what they were asking. Strome had way more point than he had this year and I am not sure Eichel will ever get back to where he was. If the were offered Strome, a 1st round 2021, Kakko and Jones (D) then I think they should jump for it and do a dance. In 5 years that trade would be an albatross that the Ranger would likely regret and Buffalo would be laughing to the bank. They could get O'Reilly who would fit way better, is a better leader, wins more face offs and can play in all situations better for a one dimensional player who plays like he doesn't care half the time. I have played with players with similar neck injuries and none of them played for more than 2 years after they developed. Also they were like 50 % of they previous selves.
