Not to mention playing Ruzicka with Pelletier for 14-17 minutes a night is less than ideal. Regardless of what changes may happen this offseason Backlund likely stays 3C and probably mentors a rookie or 2

He played at just short of a 50 point pace this season, his analytics are stellar, with guys like Mangiapane and Tuch it would be a really strong second line imo. I agree though that this doesn't leave the 3C spot looking to hot, perhaps you look at a veteran option like Danault but I also believe the Flames have to give their young guys a shot next year. You can also Ryan around in the bottom six as well.

I like Gio, especially if salary is cut in half. Don't think I would move Georgiev for him.
