Yes, the Rangers need a 2C that has been disciplined recently for cocaine use and not following covid protocols, and whose production has been declining in recent years. Caps management has had enough of his nonsense so lets bring him to MSG and pay him $7.8/million a year for three more years. No red flags here.

I have no idea what James Dolan thinks about or cares about and neither do you. Not the point at all. The point is this guys had HUGE RED FLAGS waving around him indicating it would be a VERY BAD idea to bring him onto the team and expose our young players too, especially the Russian ones like Kravstov and Shesterkin. They don't need a roll model like this guy.

1) coke is allowed in the NHL
2) he broke a protocol that allowed Tampa to watch the super bowl in a hotel conference room but didn’t allow 4 players to hangout in a hotel room hours after being inches away on a bench lol.
3) points in the decline?
83p in 79games
72p in 76 games
52p In 63game….
This year he sat out 30 days bc he had COVID. 33.2 million people had COVID lol it’s a pretty contagious virus.
His points have been dropping? He’s a 65-70 point player now ? Woof that’s terrible lol HardPass
3) the GM said it would have to make sense to trade him not “ Caps management has had enough of his nonsense”. You are literally making things up lol

Capitals pass bc Strome is useless without Panarin.

Strome is useless with Panarin but Kuznetzov isn't useless without Ovi? Because only Strome benefits from having a good winger on his line, right? And if the cocaine issue and his behavior are no big deal, why do the Caps want to trade him with 3 more years his contract? Because they like his behavior and influence on the team? OR...is it because they are fed up with his behavior and his declining production? It's OK, we know the answer. KEEP HIM. Would rather have Strome and keep the 2nd round pick.

Lets compare the last 3 full seasons of the two because they are the most recent and Strome has been center for Panarin for most of that time while Kuznetzov has had Ovi.

Games played: Strome 189 Kuz 180
Goals: Strome 50 Kuz 49
Assists: Strome 91 Kuz 104
Points: Strome 141 Kuz 153
+/-: Strome +25 Kuz +12
Face off%: Strome 47% Kuz 42%
Cap Hit: Strome $4.5m Kuz $7.8m
Cocaine issue: Strome - None Kuz - Yep

Yeah....I will take Strome every day of the week and twice on Sundays

Compare him w and without Panarin lol. He was like a 30 point center. Again hard pass. There’s a reason Strome was in like 4 nhl teams already. Just lucky Panarin had chemistry with him

You forgot 30+ point in a postseason that won a cup

Capitals haven’t said they wanted to trAde him. You are making things up based off zero facts and your opinions lol. Watch Rangers want to trade Panarin for sexual assaulting a woman. They are fed up with him.

Guess you don't read articles, but that figures. And let Kuz play without Ovi and see how he does.

He scored 80 points lol. “Read articles” lol yeah what is your source hockeybuzz. They said they’ll only trade him if it make sense. That’s far from them desperately trying to move him. Lol. I guess you’ll believe anything you read without context or an actual source but that figures

When did he score 80? 2017-2018. You think that means anything today? Strome had 59 points in 70 games or 69/82 game season last year and 49 points in 56 games this season or 72/82 game season making him a 70 point per 82 game season player the last two years and he did it at $4.5m/season. That's a better point per game average than Kuz the last two seasons and at way less cost. You can keep the cokehead.

This is a Leafs fan post, so it's a good barometer on what outsiders think of the value between Strome and Kuznetsov, but given that the Rangers apparently ended Vanecek's season by kicking his legs after the whistle (he started one more game and collapsed with a leg sprain), and then successfully got Tom Wilson fined for it, I just don't see these two teams trading big pieces this summer.

Kuznetsov, Buchnevich, and Panarin would be awesome together. But so would Kuznetsov, Protas, and Ovechkin.

You asked what he did without Ovechkin on his line lol. Youre struggling to follow your own conversation lol. Strome only produces w Panarin. Unless NYR trade Panarin also I have no need for a 30 point center. Strome is average at best.

Given how good all the Rangers fans on here say Kravtsov, Miller, and Lafreniere are going to be, you'd think they'd throw in Panarin just to clear a little cap. smile
