Leafs didn't show up till the final minutes, but it's still funny how arrogant Canadiens fans can be when they had to have the refs literally hand them the game to score.

Without the bs non goalie interference call on the first "goal", that game is entirely different.

I literally said that Toronto didn't show until the last 10 minutes. Read next time kid.

If that goal is called back like it should have been, it changes the whole complexion of the game. If you don't know that then you don't know jack all about hockey.

I also never said it was about the amount of penalties called, did I? (Guess you really can't read huh). It's about the type of calls they miss. Or did you not see Jake Evans (I believe it was him) out Hyman in a headlock and drag him down to directly create a 3 on 1 chances for Montreal? It's a play that affects possession and creates a scoring chances that NEEDS to be called. In a regular season game, I guarantee you that's called. The refs handed the Canadiens all the chances like that.

This isn't to say they didn't miss calls on Toronto too. There was a blatant too many men when Engvall jumped over and touched the puck that wasn't called. Now that one didn't creat a scoring chance for Toronto so it's not AS bad, but still should have been called.

Then you get the clear goalie interference on Toffoli that leads to a goal that isn't called and even when reviewed the refs hand it to Montreal, which forces Toronto back on the PK again because of it and doesn't allow them offensive time.

Stop posting such arrogant things just cause you're a Habs fan and won. & if you don't see hockey like that, please go learn something bud.

You genuinely think that was goalie interference?

1. Players are allowed to skate in the crease

2. Campbell left the crease purposely

3. Campbell never attempted to get back in the crease

4. There was no contact between Toffoli and Campbell

5. By the time Campbell found the puck in the mess, Perry had already shot it and Campbell was way too far away to do anything about it.

It was a really dumb challenge by Keefe and he got punished.

are you okay? Did someone besides the leafs hurt you tonight? That challenge was awful.... awful on keefe's end. There was literally no contact made between toffoli and campbell. It was brodie who moved him. im so convinced we didnt watch the same game.

Directly from the NHL's rulebook:

"Goals will only be disallowed if an attacking player, either by his positioning or by making contact with the goalie, interferes with the goalie's ability to freely move in the crease/defend the goal, or a player initiates deliberate contact with the goaltender, within in the crease or out of it."

So yes. By NHL definition that is goalie interference. Toffoli entered the crease by himself and blocked the path of Campbell to get to the puck when it was loose in the crease. If you actuakkt watch the replay, Campbell is staring at Perry as he puts the puck in the net so he knew where it was but didn't have a path to get to it.

It was goalie interference. Should not have counted.

Read my comment #6. By the NHL's own definition in their rulebook that they created, it is goalie interference. There does NOT have to be contact made to be considered interference. Learn the rules.

Campbell never attempted to make it back to the net though. He didn't know where the puck was until too late. That's the point! If Campbell turns around and shows any sort of effort to make it back, then Toffoli is in the way and it is goalie interference. Campbell was taking his sweet time since he last saw the puck in the area where he was sitting. By the time Campbell discovered the puck, it had already left Perry's stick and Campbell had no play even if Toffoli wasn't standing there.

"If you actually watch the replay" get outta here

This is false and not the rule.

Again, on the replay you can see Campbell looking at Perry as he's putting the puck in the net. So he was clearly aware of where the puck was.

Also, the rule does not state anything about a goaltenders "chance" of making the save. It clearly states that if a player interferes with the goaltender's ability to freely move in the crease or defend the goal by his positioning, then it is in fact goaltender interference.

Facts:
1. Toffoli entered the crease by himself
2. Toffoli was blocking Campbell's path/ability to make the save or attempt to make the save
3. That blocking of the path directly affected Campbell from making the save

It's all right in the rulebook. It's goalie interference. 100%

You can't interfere with something that doesn't happen. Once again, if Campbell doesn't attempt to make it to his net, there is no "path or ability" to make a save. It's like talking to a wall. Enjoy crying yourself to sleep I guess.

It's the goalie's crease. That's why it's there. Campbell is looking at Perry as he picks the puck up, that is then determined as Campbell having the "ability to make the save" whether it be small or big, it's still there because Campbell is aware of where the puck is. His path is then blocked, making it goaltender interference.

I don't know how you can argue with the literal definition from the leagues rulebook.

Pause it at 1:11 and you can see that Perry still has the puck on his stick and Campbell is looking directly at the puck while Toffoli is in his path.
